Ackford led off the game with an inside-the-park homerun (his 7th round-tripper of the Season). The offence was relatively flat however, and Xtreme only managed to get through its 12-man roster three times during the evening (must have been something to do with Mikey Anderson's lineup). Nonetheless, a couple of respectable innings on the sticks allowed Xtreme to rack up 10 runs in this game. On the flip side, the Defence was solid throughout the game and it was another great pitching effort combined between Larry and Cito, which held Hanet to only 3 runs on this night.
With the victory, Xtreme moves into sole possession of 2nd in the President's Division, however due to a Storm win at 8:00pm versus the Rebels, Xtreme remains 1.0 game behind the League Leaders.
Xtreme has now won 4 straight and 9 of its last 10 games. Xtreme returns home to face the Rebels at 5:00pm on Sunday (K2) and will follow that up on Wednesday at 9:30pm when Bradley Motors come to town (K2).
